Lavendar Fun

We have quite a bunch of Lavender that is around our building. All the residents love the smell and look. Our Manager Terrie had our landscapers go and cut all the ready lavender down. We then had residents cut the stem shorter and tie them up we are drying them at the moment and when they are dried we will be making Lavender sachets!!

Rick Dancer at Garden Way

We had a surprise visit from a former anchor man but still well known Rick Dancer. Was able to come and help one of our residents Cynthia with accomplishing a lifetime long dream. She has writing a book called the "Fourth Floor," it is a story regarding her life struggles and  living with ALS. It is her last wish to get it published and have a book signing before she is taking away by this tragic disease.
Rick is going to be helping her accomplish this dream by starting a kicker program and getting her out in the spot light. This will help her get the funds that are needed to publish her book.

Pictured with him is Manager Terrie Powell
Rick explaining how he will be helping our family member Cynthia.

Not just fighting ALS, she is also a Women Veteran with a very interesting story of being one of the first shortest female lieutenant.

4th of July Celebration

We had are yearly 4th of July celebration. It was a great event we had a full buffet line. Carnival that had tons of fun games that you use to play when you were a child. Such as spin the wheel, lollipop tree, duck pond and more but don't forget the Sno-Cone and Cotton Candy machine.

The band, Big Foot Lane came and played throughout the carnival good ole country songs that residents danced along with.

 Time to cool off!

Spin the wheel see what you might of won!
Even if you don't get the marked tootsie pop you still get to keep the sweet treat you picked from the tree.

Yes, we even had tatoo's to dress everyone else up.
