Wellness Event "Walker Check"

We had a nice group show up to having their walker's check. All-Med Supplys came and did a great job. They checked and made sure all residents had the proper height setting, got their brakes tighened, replace some little furnishings that their walker may have lost. Resident were very happy to come and have this service done.

Monday, Black Cow Day

Monday was "National Black Cow Day". In case your not sure what that is, it is chocolate ice cream with Root Beer. It was fun to see what the residents would choose either the Black Cow or just the normal Root Beer float. We had the juke box going and residents had a fun time.

Wellness Month's First Presentation

On Monday are nutritionist Ellen Syverson came and did a presentation on "Foods and Nutrients Your Bones Can't Live Without." As always she filled our movie theatre will our residents, I saw many of them writing notes down on what they wanted to remember for the future. Many of our residents really appreciated the time she gave them and they spent at least a half hour asking questions.

Hula Class one of our Wellness Month events

Yesterday we had our first new wellness class it's called, Hula class. It is taught by Kuma a Hawaiian native she has been taught the traditional ways of Hula. She was a complete thrill to be taught by and the residents loved her.
We learned how to sing the song Lovely Hula Hands with her ukulele. Then learned the dance for the first two lyrics of the song. All the residents and I can't wait for the next class.
